By Wan Salbiah Mior Yahya
Founder & CEO, ZACC MYTOWN (Zara Aisyah Care Centre)
When I first opened the doors of ZACC MYTOWN in 2015, I had only one mission — to provide elderly Malaysians with a home that feels like family, not a facility.
It started small — just 25 beds, a handful of caregivers, and a heart full of hope. Today, we’ve grown into a 135-bed Muslim-friendly nursing home, trusted by families across the Klang Valley and beyond.
But beyond numbers, what truly defines us is the soul of care that lives in every corner of ZACC MYTOWN.
The idea was born out of a simple yet profound observation:
Too many elderly Malaysians were aging in isolation, without structured care, safety, or dignity.
I wanted to change that.
I wanted to build a place where aging is not a burden — but a continuation of life with purpose, comfort, and compassion.
Our residents are not “patients.”
They are parents, teachers, leaders, and storytellers who’ve contributed to this nation. They deserve the same respect and care they once gave to others.
Over the past 10 years, we’ve learned that care is not just clinical — it’s emotional, spiritual, and human.
Our philosophy revolves around 3 pillars:
We’re proud to be one of the few elderly care centers in Malaysia with integrated nursing, rehabilitation, and spiritual care — a balance that makes ZACC MYTOWN truly special.
Our journey didn’t stop at care.
We realized that to uplift the elderly care industry, we must train the next generation of caregivers.
That’s how MYCARETUA ACADEMY was born — a professional training institution dedicated to building skilled, compassionate caregivers.
In 2025, we proudly launched the Academy at the Selangor International Care Summit, officiated by YB Anfaal Shaari, marking a new chapter in Malaysia’s caregiving excellence.
Running ZACC MYTOWN hasn’t only shaped my career — it’s shaped my life.
Psst... I didn’t just find my passion here — I found my soulmate too!
I met my husband right here at ZACC MYTOWN, during his attachment while waiting for his professional posting. Both of us were young, passionate, and deeply committed to one mission — to serve and care for others.
Fast forward ten wonderful years later, with three beautiful children in tow, that same shared purpose continues to guide us every single day.
Today, he’s not just my life partner — he’s also our leader and Director of ZACC MYTOWN.
And honestly, I couldn’t be any prouder. Together, we’ve built not just a home for the elderly, but a family dedicated to compassion, dignity, and excellence in care.
As I look back, I’m humbled by how far we’ve come — from a small care home to a recognized name in Malaysia’s elderly care landscape.
But more importantly, I’m reminded every day that the true measure of success is not in how big we grow, but in how deeply we care.
At ZACC MYTOWN, every smile, every gentle touch, every moment of comfort — that’s what defines us.
Because here, we don’t just care for the elderly — we celebrate them.
Sincerely,
Wan Salbiah Mior Yahya
